Building and maintaining this website required me to become familiar with web design. I know from this experience that there is a steep learning curve to web design, web hosting, domains, etc. Fortunately for me, I found that I actually enjoy designing websites! It is a creative process, and many of the required skills complement my other interests.

Basic Website for only $799.00
To give you an idea of what I’m offering, I’m talking a fully functional website, accessible across multiple devices, with endless ways to customize your site. Not a cookie-cutter template of a site that is just trying to upsell you on their other more expensive products.
This would include:
- Finding and securing a domain name
- Setting up hosting
- Installation of WordPress web design software (installed on your host server)
- Design of a customized theme for your website
- Developing an overall plan for your site to meet your needs
- Building web assets as needed – this may include logos, images, icons, video, maps, etc.
- Social media plug-ins and cross promotion
- Getting your site up and running
I would also:
- Provide tutorials on how to add new content, make changes, add pages, etc.
- Leave you with a plan for your website going forward
- Give you a primer on SEO (search engine optimization)
- And explain how this all works!
After I’m finished, your only necessary expenses going forward would be would be two reoccurring service fees (these apply to all websites): about $12 a year to register your domain name, and about $10 a month for the web hosting service.
How long will it take? It is realistic, schedules permitting, to have your website up and running in a week to 10 days.
